Scholarship Opportunities

Announcing Scholarship Opportunities for IAMT Members

IAMT is proud to be able to offer our members two different scholarship opportunities.  Each scholarship will be offered annually, and members may apply for both.  Please read below for further details.

AMTA MEMBERSHIP AWARD

One Scholarship will be awarded to an IAMT member at the end of each calendar year.  The amount of the award will match AMTA’s current Professional Membership pricing at the time the scholarship is announced.  Applicants will need to submit the following:

  1. Scholarship Application Form
  2. A statement of financial need
  3. An essay describing why the applicant believes AMTA membership to be important

Scholarship applications will be accepted in September and October each year.  Applicants need not demonstrate financial need in order to qualify for the scholarship, but those who cannot afford membership will be given preference.

The executive committee of the IAMT Board will blindly review applications in November.  Winners will be notified in December, and the award will be given before the end of the calendar year.

CONTINUING EDUCATION AWARD

Two Professional IAMT members will receive free registration to attend the annual CMTE Training and State Meeting.  Applicants must submit the following

  1. Scholarship Application Form
  2. A statement of financial need
  3. An essay describing how the information gained in the training will be utilized and/or enhance the therapist’s work

Scholarship applications will be accepted immediately after the CMTE is announced and will be due 6 weeks prior to the event.  Applicants need not demonstrate financial need in order to qualify for the scholarship, but those who describe difficulty paying for registration will be given preference.

The executive committee of the IAMT Board will blindly review applications one month prior to the event, and winners will be notified at least one week in advance of the early registration deadline.
